My Intrepid Explorers, Neighborhood Bird Watchers

I broke out my dad’s and my granddad’s old binocular’s for the boys to use for their birdwatching. To be truthful birdwatching wasn’t even on the list really until I handed them the binoculars, but boy they sure got serious about it after that. Avi was even keeping notes as you will see below. They were pretty serious before, about spotting birds out here in this desert monsoon season river valley , the San Pedro. we do get a lot of them, migrating South. But the binoculars took it to a whole new level. Also gave me a chance to really teach them about responsibility and about how valuable some tools are. About how tools aren’t toys.
