Work schedules, and weekday birthdays lead to celebrations of birthdays on days other than the actual birthday…. last Saturday, was a prime example.
Luckily for me, his birthday is only a couple of days before Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. Great example of someone who’s birthday is often commemorated/celebrated on a day other than the actual day of birth.
Of course, if I over explain it, he might point out that MLK jr day breaks the other factor down, the idea that celebrating a birthday on a week day is bad. Hopefully not, he doesnt have a job yet, doesnt fully understand the 3 day weekend…. yet.
Luckily, he didn’t care one way or the other, he was just stoked to go
They had a blast, just an afternoon spent at a real park, well, relative, it is falling apart too, given the dying of this town as a whole. But the park behind out house was abandoned, ie, stopped being updated, in the late 60’s… so all things being relative, the Little League Park is quite the step up….
